Fierce CRO Awards Finalists

Concept Life Sciences is delighted to be shortlisted for the Bionow Technical Service Award

The Fierce CRO Awards are an established celebration of achievement and innovation by Contract Research Organizations (CROs).

As a CRO that prides itself on pursuing innovation for our clients we are delighted that our industry-leading hit identification platform BioPALS has been shortlisted for a Fierce CRO Award.

BioPALS is a proprietary platform providing an end-to-end hit identification solution, transforming the hit identification paradigm. The platform has been shortlisted in the Innovative Solutions in Drug Development category.

About BioPALS

Hit identification is a crucial stage of any drug discovery project yet is commonly associated with cost and time intensive techniques. High throughput screening (HTS), DEL screening or scaffold hopping, which require assay development adapted to each campaign, can take months and cost hundreds of thousands.

A cutting-edge Machine Learning algorithm enables the triaging of over a billion compounds in a matter of days and the determination of hit binding topologies. Virtual hits are subsequently confirmed in vitro using an orthogonal biophysical screening process combining GCI, DSF and NMR, as well as ADMET profiling.

BioPALS results in fully characterized, high-quality hits with binding affinities and kinetics, plus ADMET parameters that are:

• Delivered in 6 weeks – 3x faster than traditional hit identification strategies

• 10x cheaper than HTS

Dr Thomas Pesnot, Drug Discovery Services Director at Concept Life Sciences commented:

"I’m particularly pleased that BioPALS is not only innovative in technology but affordable. It breaks down a major barrier in hit identification for biotechnology companies in particular, especially those in the start-up phase.
The shortlisting of BioPALS for a Fierce CRO Award reflects our multi-disciplinary team’s ongoing commitment to provide clients with truly innovative technologies that make a tangible difference to the progress of their projects.
I’d like to thank colleagues in biology, chemistry and ADMET for their considerable efforts in making this platform a reality.”

The Fierce CRO Award winners will be announced on Wednesday 18 June – good luck to all those shortlisted!
