A more in-depth view

Our transcriptomics services are tailored to meet the diverse needs of drug discovery and research initiatives. Whether you’re delving into the development of a disease, identifying novel therapeutic targets, optimising drug development strategies, or unravelling mechanisms of drug resistance, transcriptomics offers a systematic and quantitative approach to explore the entire genomic landscape.

Seamlessly integrated with our other services in Immunology, Immuno-oncology & Oncology, Neuroscience, and Spatial Biology, our transcriptomic services ensure a smooth transition from your test substance treatment assays or biopsy tissues to robust library preparation and bioinformatic analysis.

RNA-sequencing Library Preparation

RNA-sequencing is a powerful tool for comprehensive exploration of drug response and mechanism of action, allowing interrogation of gene expression across the whole transcriptome. Whether unravelling disease, pinpointing novel therapeutic targets, dose optimisations, or deciphering drug resistance mechanisms, RNA-sequencing results in a systematic quantitative approach to interrogate the whole transcriptome. Our team of scientists have extensive experience in generated high quality libraries for RNA-sequencing.

Single-Cell Assays

Single-cell technologies have revolutionised our understanding of cellular heterogeneity and performs an important role in decerning gene expression patterns at a cell-by-cell level.

  • Aid in target identification through increased resolution of cell subtypes.
  • Understand the heterogeneity of biomarker expression.
  • Facilitate the study of drug responses and mechanism of action between different cell types.
  • Permit characterisation and selection of pre-clinical disease models.

Utilising our 10x Genomics Chromium Controller™ we can offer a diverse range of single-cell based assays including Gene Expression, Immune Profiling, and ATAC-Seq. Backed by extensive experience in processing samples for single-cell and single-nuclei analysis, our team can assist you in identifying the most appropriate assay for your research objectives.

Spatial Transcriptomics

Spatial Transcriptomics enables the examination of whole genome changes at a single-cell resolution, incorporating tissue location, transcriptional dynamics between cells, and visualization of gene expression patterns of cells in their native architecture.

Particularly potent in spatially organised tissues such as the brain, spatial transcriptomics inform Neuroscience biomarker discovery, aiding in the identification of drug targets and distribution within specific regions of interest.

Whereas in Immuno-oncology & Oncology, spatial transcriptomics permits the investigation of  distinct tumour compartments including malignant, non-malignant, stroma and immune cells within the highly complex heterogeneous microenvironment. Whether using 10x Genomics Visium® or NanoString GeoMx® in collaboration with University of Edinburgh, our spatial transcriptomics services serve as a powerful tool for drug discovery or biomarker expression.
