SAL are holding their first ever food safety symposium titled ‘Food Safety – The Challenges to the Industry’!
This one day conference will be held at the Evolution Suite at Old Trafford (The Home of Manchester United) on 22nd October 2015 running from 9am until 4pm.
The last decade has seen several issues relating to food in the main news headlines. Retailers are continuously tempting customers with lower prices but demanding the highest standards from their suppliers. This has created considerable pressure on the producers and manufacturers of food.
Consumer awareness of food safety through the media has escalated to the highest levels. So how does the food industry manage the balancing act of reducing costs of food production without compromising on food quality and safety?!
Key personnel from within the food industry have been gathered to present their views together with that of the industry on how this is being managed.
Speakers include: The University of Manchester, Marks and Spencers PLC, Winterbotham Darby, Campden BRI and many others.
Topics that will be covered are Allergens, Microbiology, Mycotoxins, Pesticides, Micro-pollutants and Packaging Contaminants.
