Our aim is to find out more about you and if you have the skills, experience and values for the role advertised. Where can I find out about vacancies at Concept Life Sciences?

All of our current vacancies are posted on our careers pages. This is our live and up to date vacancy list.

When is the application deadline?

For most vacancies (unless there are multiple positions or there is an ongoing recruitment campaign) you will find the closing date for each vacancy on the advertisement. We reserve the right to close a vacancy early if we receive enough suitable applications.

Applications can be submitted after the closing date, but if we are already at an advanced stage of the recruitment process, you may not be included due to the timescales involved. Should this occur and we think you have experience and skills that are of interest to us, you will be invited to join our Talent Bank.

How long will the application review process take?

When applying through our website you will receive an automated email confirming that we have received your application. Our recruiters will carefully review your application and will contact you by telephone should your application be shortlisted for the assessment/interview stage of the recruitment process. Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide feedback on all applications.

How do I get reasonable adjustments for my interview or assessment?

Will expenses be reimbursed for attending interviews?

As it is our primary aim to hire local candidates, expenses will not be reimbursed. In some circumstances should a candidate be invited to an interview in another location then we will offer to cover reasonable travel expenses. Such an arrangement must be agreed in advance with the recruitment team and receipts will be required in order to process the claim.

What format will the interviews take?

Unless informed otherwise, interviews will contain a mix of technical and competency based questions. A competency based question is when we ask you to describe an example of past performance so that you can demonstrate your ‘competence’ in a certain area. We would encourage you to think about why you want to work for our business as well as examples of how your experience and qualifications make you a suitable candidate for the role.

Will I be asked to deliver presentations or undertake any tests?

For some roles (depending on the level and nature of the work) we may ask you to deliver a presentation, complete a written assessment or participate in an assessment centre. We will inform candidates of any specific requirements and provide plenty of notice so that you can prepare accordingly.

When will I hear if I am successful?

We conduct a detailed debriefing of candidate interviews to determine which candidate best fits the requirements of the post. Once all the interviews are complete, we aim to inform candidates of the outcome within ten working days. A member of the recruitment team will contact you by telephone outlining the details of the offer of employment should you be successful.

When will you take up my references?

We will take up references for all potential employees after an offer has been made and the candidate has given explicit permission for us to approach referees. Our offers are conditional upon receiving satisfactory references.

If I am successful, will I be offered a relocation package?

In most cases, we do not offer any assistance with relocation expenses. However, depending on the job and location, we may offer relocation assistance at the discretion of the management team. This will be considered on a case by case basis, taking into consideration whether there are suitable candidates available locally.

Do you provide feedback after an interview?

Yes, we provide feedback to all candidates that have reached and attended the interview stage of the recruitment process.

Can I reapply for the same role/vacancy if I’ve been unsuccessful in the past?

Yes, after a period of six months from the date of your last application.

Can I re-apply for another vacancy if I am unsuccessful?

Yes. We select candidates based on the best fit for the requirements of the role. If your application is unsuccessful for a specific vacancy, you may still be suitable for another role. We therefore encourage you to apply for any position you feel qualified and suitable for.

Can I send Concept Life Sciences my CV to keep on file?

Yes. If you are interested in a particular vacancy or type of role we can add your details to our Talent Bank. Talent Bank members receive periodic vacancy bulletins and business news updates. You can then apply directly for any vacancy you feel matches your skills and experience.
