In Concept’s Cambridge facility, a UKAS accredited testing laboratory No 1549, we have nutritional experts who provide a trusted and highly respected service and our fully qualified staff ensure the accuracy of the analyses conducted.

State of the art equipment

Our nutritional analysis laboratory is equipped with state of the art analytical instrumentation including ion chromatography, gas chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance, Dumas protein analysis, microwave digestion as well as traditional wet chemistry technique, enabling fast, efficient and accurate generation of nutritional labelling data.

All testing is carried out in accordance with the internationally recognised ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard with widespread accreditation of the major tests.

We can also assess product labelling and ensure that every aspect, including layout and language, complies with legislation, including the EU’s Food Information to Consumers regulation.

  • Preservatives and sweeteners

    A preservative is a substance that is added to foods to prevent microbial decomposition or undesirable chemical changes. Artificial preservatives reduce the risk of foodborne infections, decrease microbial spoilage, and keep the food fresh and nutritious. Concept Life Sciences offers testing for preservatives and sweeteners via numerous analytical service providers.
