The Team Leader in the Method Development / Validation Section leads a team of scientists performing feasibility studies, analytical testing, method development and validation using a range of Chromatography techniques such as LC/MS, LC/MS-MS, GC/MS and Ion chromatography. This involves analysis of a range of test samples (substances, compounds, formulations, investigational or commercial products, raw materials) submitted by clients from the Life Sciences, chemical and related industries. The ideal candidate will have experience of leading analytical projects in a commercial setting and will have supervised junior colleagues previously. The Bradford site operates to current Good Manufacturing Practice and regulatory Good Laboratory Practice.
The Team Leader will have scientific / technical skills commensurate with those of an experienced analytical scientist. In their new role they will take on responsibilities in line management and work scheduling, and in directing the work of their staff, ensuring effective organisation of resources and time. They will work closely with their Section Manager to ensure operational targets are met.
